Trans World Airlines & Onward — Mr Nicholas Bredimus

The revolution in hospitality and airline travel was triggered by Mr Nicholas Bredimus, who brought them together with the computer programming world to evolve something new. He has done everything from the creation of time-saving software programs to increasing aircraft safety and designing high value homes. Bredimus has brought true passion to any and all fields, too. Glancing at Mr Nicholas Bredimus‘ family tree you can easily discern he was certain to rise to the top. Traceable back to the days of Rome and in fact Nicholas’ ancestry connects to several nations in Europe. Following the maternal branch he boasts German and Scottish ancestry. The paternal line, however, comes from England and Luxembourg, from where they emigrated in the late nineteenth century. This dauntless spirit pushed them on following their arrival in the US. One of seven siblings — three boys and four girls — Nicholas would be born to a father who worked as a mechanical design engineer, and a mother who earned her living as a nurse. Mr Bredimus went on to make his home in the Lone Star State for a while and also spent time in Reston, VA, Scottsdale, AZ and Kansas City, MO. Following the completion of his education, Nicholas Bredimus would sign up for a few respected posts with several of the strongest and most acclaimed firms in the airline industry. Nicholas rose to the rank of VP with firms like Trans World Airlines (TWA), Republic Airlines, and Hughes Airwest. A hard-working software designer, his creative approach to airline computer programs is most likely his greatest contribution to the industry. His creation of airplane maintenance software, typical now throughout the airline sector although originally created for US Airways, ultimately resulted in what is probably his most popular creation. He turned his gaze next to recording and making reservations. For both flight and room bookings he developed software systems to take on the bulk of the work required before this approach. He went on to produce QuikTix, an automated ticket ordering network.

Notwithstanding that this is undeniably his specialty, he also frequently worked on areas not connected to software. Nicholas managed American Express’ IT department, founded Bredimus Systems in the early nineties, and had the honor of becoming the founding president of a major American Airlines division.

Though he has stepped back from the businesses in which he first experienced fame, his capabilities are, nevertheless, still exercised daily. He is now involved in the architectural problems tied to the emergence of technologically advanced high priced homes.
