The Triton Square development is a part of Regent’s Place currently belonging to the British Land Company. It encompasses five buildings in all with a total of around one million square feet of retail, office and entertainment space. Currently, around seven-thousand staff are employed on the office estate.
The estate bought by Abbey is a 200,000 square foot class-A office building which was developed in 2002 by
Abbey has decided to rent the premises for nearly £9m per year until the year 2022. The Director of the British Land reported in a statement that Abbey was not only an important occupier of Regent’s Place, but is now also to become a significant stakeholder in the thirteen acre property.
The director also stated that they are committed to the completion and office refurbishment of Regent’s Place One and Two later in the year.
The move by the owner comes after a number of measures have been taken by the companies involved in the real estate business to boost capital and to raise the financial statements.
